Pradhanmantri Matra Vandana Yojana – What is it?
The Pradhanmantri Matra Vandana Yojana is a government program designed to enhance the health and nutrition of pregnant women and infants. Previously, eligible beneficiaries were provided with a financial incentive of ₹5000 upon the birth of their first child to encourage healthy pregnancies and childcare.
However, recent updates to the scheme have brought significant changes, which we will explain in this article.
What’s New in Pradhanmantri Matra Vandana Yojana
In the revised Pradhanmantri Matra Vandana Yojana, beneficiaries will still receive financial assistance, but there are notable changes. While the scheme previously provided ₹5000 in installments for the birth of the first child, it now includes an additional provision.
