Randy Gregory apologizes for punch that led to fine 

After reviewing Randy Gregory's appeal of his suspension, the NFL changed his punishment from a one-game ban to a $50,000 fine.

Denver pass rusher Randy Gregory and Los Angeles guard Oday Aboushi were seen on video after the Rams defeated the Broncos on Sunday.

In a post-game argument, they began throwing punches at each other.

Both players were immediately suspended for one game by the NFL on Monday in response.

Following the suspension's announcement, Gregory issued the following statement in which he said thanks to his teammates, staff, and fans who have supported him this season.

He also stated that  “he wanted to apologize for the things that happened the previous day. His goal is to finish out this season strongly and play with pride.”

Gregory was benched before the post-game punch after receiving two 15-yard penalties.

With Broncos this season, he has recorded seven quarterback hits and two sacks combined in six games.
